When you were young, you just couldn’t wait to grow up, to be an adult and do all the things that your parents told you that you couldn’t do. Although, now that you are an adult, you really wish that you were just a kid again. Here are the twelve things you swore you would never do, but you gave in when you got older.
1. Turn down the music
When you were a teenager, you were no stranger to hearing the words “will you turn that music down? You will deafen yourself!” However, you totally refused. Now? Oh, that’s a bit loud isn’t it.
2. Eating food whenever you want.
When I get older, I’m going to eat food whenever I want, even before I go to bed. Now? HOW many calories? I’ll just have this cracker then.
3. Wearing short skirts.
I’m always going to look cool. What’s mutton dressed as lamb?
4. I will wear high heels every day.
Is it acceptable to wear my slippers now?
5. I will live in a big house with all my friends!
Mom, can I move home? I’ve no money… and it’s cold in my house.
6. Going to clubs.
When you were 16, you dedicated your whole entire life to making sure you get a fake ID and get into the club. Now, however, you would rather poke out your own eyeballs than get out of your pyjamas.
7. Drinking Alcohol.
Another mission when you were in your teenage years was to try and get a hold of alcohol before a night out. They were the days before you had a severe hangover. Now, you try to avoid alcohol until Saturday so you will have an entire day to recover.
8. I will watch all the films I want.
Now that I’m older, I would like to watch all the films I loved as a child. No, I have no interest in horror now.
9. I will go to bed REALLY LATE! SO THERE!
What time is it? 9pm? What’s an acceptably early time to go to bed, I’m wrecked after working all week.
10. You will never speak to your brother/sister/mother/father again. I HATE YOU ALL!

11. I will own a really fancy car and drive all the time.
Sorry, HOW much for the insurance? Sell it. Immediately.
12. I will wear makeup every day.
Do I honestly have to wear makeup to this? I’m naturally pale.
