WATCH: the new extended trailer for You is here, and we are pumped

Jade Hayden

Chills, lads.

Chills.

A few weeks back, the first trailer for Netflix’s You dropped.

It depicted murdering lunatic Joe Goldberg attending a coffee shop in LA and silently judging every single person there.

It also revealed to us the new name he’s planning on calling himself: Will.

As nondescript as ever, man.

And while the first trailer did get us incredibly hyped for the upcoming season, it didn’t provide us with a whole lot of info as to what was actually going to go down.

This new trailer, however, does. Excellent news all round.

The trailer kicks off as we’d expect it to: with a brief recap of Joe and Beck’s relationship, and her untimely end.

It then reminds us that Joe’s ex Candace is, indeed, returning for this season – and that she’s not about to let Joe get away with murder. Again.

The trailer also shows Joe seemingly renting an apartment, being told that he’s not on social media and therefore weird, and meeting a girl named Love in a supermarket.

Love is important because she, inevitably, will become Joe’s next victim – a plot point that is revealed to us purely through the shot of the pair of them getting down to it.

Candace then reappears and tells Joe that she’s onto him, following him about the place and dropping the line that’s probably going to set the scene for the entire season: “If he loves you, that’s the most dangerous thing.”

Indeed.

Other notable moments in the trailer include Joe lying in a bath with his hands covered in blood, some people at a funeral, and an unknown woman lying seemingly dead in another glass box.

It’s all kicking off guys. No lie.

You season two comes to Netflix on December 26, 2019.
