Viewers can expect ‘sparks to fly’.
A major character is returning for season eight of Chicago Fire.
Monica Raymund’s Gabby Dawson will be back in Chicago for the drama’s winter finale, which is due to air in the United States on November 20.
Fans last saw Dawson in the season seven premiere, when she returned from Puerto Rico – where she had accepted a full-time job – to ask Casey to move with her.
However, he declined – and the fan-favourite couple later filed for divorce.
Raymund told EW that returning to Chicago Fire after so long was “a homecoming” for her.
“The cast of Chicago Fire will always be my family, and it was so wonderful to work with them again,” she explained. “It was such a positive experience returning to the family, and I’m so happy and grateful for a chance to work with all of them again!”
She also teased that fans can expect there to be plenty of sparks flying from Dawson and Casey’s reunion.
“Dawson and Casey will always have an unbreakable bond, and their love is a special love that I think will forever stay alive,” she continued. “The fans don’t want to miss this episode — we get to seep Dawson and Casey’s love in a new light.”
