Jurassic Park’s Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum will be reuniting on Jurassic World 3.
Deadline report that Dern announced the news of their return at a screening of Battle at Big Rock, a short film directed by Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow.
The Battle At Big Rock stars André Holland, Natalie Martinez, Melody Hurd and Pierson Salvador.
A renowned fansite has details about the plot and states that:
“The short takes place one year after the events of the last film in Big Rock National Park, where dinosaurs are now living in our world.
“The story follows a family of four whose encounter with these wild animals becomes a terrifying fight for survival.”

The short seemingly follows on from 2018’s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, which ended with the dinosaurs making their way off the island and into civilisation.
Dern took to Instagram last night [September 24] to share a photo of herself and Trevorrow, which she captioned:
“Loved joining my buddy, Colin, to announce the return of the original cast of Jurassic Park back into the Jurassic World.”

And the official Jurassic World Instagram account shared a throwback image of the trio, welcoming them to Jurassic World.
They wrote alongside the photo:
“They’re back. Welcome to Jurassic World Alan Grant, Ellie Sattler & Ian Malcolm. #2021“
Dern, Neill and Goldblum all appeared in the original Jurassic Park movie in 1993, which was directed by Steven Spielberg.
Goldblum appeared as chaos theory expert Dr Ian Malcolm in 2018’s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. However. Dern and Neill’s Dr Ellie Sattler and Dr Alan Grant haven’t been seen since 2001’s Jurassic Park III.
