The most hated Game of Thrones characters of all time have been revealed

Game of Thrones is over soon.

Really soon, in fact.

In order to celebrate this fact (or lament it), everybody’s been getting themselves all good and ready for the show’s final season by recalling their favourite episodes, favourite characters, and favourite times that Joffrey ruined everybody’s life.

But what about everybody’s least favourite characters?

What about all the lads that you genuinely cannot stand to have on your television screen lest they do something vaguely mean and unnecessary to a character you like?

What about the worst people in the show?

Well, luckily for us the guys over at musicMagpie have crunched the numbers (the tweets, even) and presented a comprehensive list of the GoT characters that audiences hate the most.

And yes, Bran Stark is one of them.

The list was compiled using 131 million tweets about the show to see which characters the public love, which they hate and who they can’t stop talking about.

The most hated characters were established by the percentage of angry tweets sent concerning each character.

The numbers don’t lie.

1. Bronn – 24 percent anger
2. Theon Greyjoy – 17 percent anger
3. Bran Stark – 17 percent anger
4. Joffrey Baratheon – 17 percent anger
5. Jaime Lannister – 16 percent anger

Makes sense, yeah.

The most loved characters, however, are where things get a bit interesting – most notably because Tormund grabs the number one spot here which seems fake but OK.

1. Tormund Giantsbane – 57 percent joy
2. Brienne of Tarth – 49 percent joy
3. Samwell Tarly – 42 percent joy
4. Tyrion Lannister – 42 percent joy
5. Ygritte – 37 percent joy
