Apparently, this is how much the Love Island cast are being paid for the Christmas reunion

Ouch.

Love Island fans won’t have to wait until the summer of 2019 to get their fix of the famous villa, as the cast are set to reunite for a festive-themed special.

Caroline Flack will be reunited with 19 of the former Islanders from this year for the one-off episode, including this year’s winners, Jack and Dani; Wes and Megan; and Adam and Zara.

The scenes are also going to see the previously coupled-up contestants come face-to-face, including this year’s runner-ups, Paul and Laura; Georgia and Sam; and Ellie and Charlie.

But hours after the news was confirmed, it was reported that the cast are in an “uproar” over how much they are being paid for the festive edition of Love Island.

A source told The Sun that the contestants are being paid £10 an hour to appear on the show, which isn’t sitting well with some of the Islanders.

They added:

“They have been in uproar over being paid so little for two days’ work. It almost isn’t worth hours of awkward conversation with your ex — which for many of the islanders will be the case now.

“A few have even discussed dropping out to avoid any unnecessary aggravation. The low fees have also upset their agents, who are used to dealing with much bigger contracts.”
