Emmerdale fans said goodbye to three characters last night – as Ross Barton, Rebecca White and her baby son, Seb, set off for a new life.
Ross and Rebecca had spent the last few episodes planning to start a new life together, while fighting for custody for Ross’ son, Moses, and little Seb.
Thursday’s episode saw Rebecca have a heartbreaking change of heart at the last minute, urging Ross to delay the move for a little while. But he refused, and readied to leave the village on his own.
Last night, Rebecca was still crushed over the idea of Ross leaving without her when Robert paid her a visit. The pair had a heart-to-heart and, after seeing how heartbroken Rebecca was, Robert gave her his blessing to leave with Seb.

As Ross prepared to leave, Rebecca pulled up beside him in her car – with baby Seb in the back seat – and told him she was going to leave with him.
The trio then set off for a new life in Liverpool.
Viewers were delighted that, after everything the pair had gone through, they got their happily ever after.

However, some people also noticed a heartbreaking detail: Aaron Dingle, Robert’s husband, never got to say goodbye to Seb.
