Royal wedding guests were reportedly told to wear something very odd under their clothes

We wouldn't be able for this.

Nothing worse during a long, rambling wedding ceremony than needing to pee, is there?

When nature calls it’s pretty much impossible to ignore the urge dash to the loo – but that’s what guests were reportedly asked to do at the wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry earlier this year.

One person who attended the royal wedding in May has claimed that guests were advised to wear sanitary pads to the ceremony as they wouldn’t get the chance to use the toilet during the ceremony.

Actress Diane Morgan, who was there on the day, told Ricky Gervais on his Sirius XM radio show that this was included in the wedding invitations.

“She reckons at the Royal wedding you have to wear a nappy,” Ricky said during the conversation.

Diane replied: “No, it is not a nappy – it is like a sanitary pad.

“You are sat there for about four hours, aren’t you? And when they invite you they say we suggest you wear a sanitary pad.”

David Baddiel, who also joined Ricky and Diane in studio, then asked if George Clooney was wearing a pad at the wedding.

“Yeah, I am saying the whole lot of them were,” Diane replied.

Unsurprisingly, the palace hasn’t responded to the claims yet – and probably never will.
