How do we choose between these?
It’s an awkward time for clothes shopping, summer sale stock is everywhere and autumn winter bits are starting to arrive too which is a total nightmare when trying to navigate your way around… if you’ve ever been in Zara at 5pm on a weekday, you’ll know what I mean.
That’s why we’re after transitional pieces that can be worn in this awkward in-between autumn/winter period when nothing looks or feels right.
Thankfully, the dress we spotted on the River Island website works perfectly for both seasons, ideal.
It’s the Rib Button Midi Bodycon Dress, priced at €40 and it comes in two fab shades, black and a rather fab dusky-pink that would be just as gorge for October as it is for July (July in Ireland that is).
Button detail is so in right now, the ribbed fabric is super comfy and at €40, we’re almost tempted to buy both.
However, if you’d rather more of a dressy option, see below for the Black Metallic Stitch Knit Midi Dress, priced at €55.
With a V-neck and a side slit, it’s more of a going out piece and it would be fab with barely-there sandals for a seriously glam look.
It also comes in a nude colour, which appears to be sold out at the moment but we’ve got in touch with River Island and will be in touch to let you know if it’s likely to be restocked anytime soon.
