A former Love Islander says the contestants are having ‘secret sex’ in the villa

If nothing else, former Love Island contestants are always good for spilling behind-the-scenes goss about the show and how it’s made.

The ITV2 hit has been plagued by talk of a ‘fix’ this year – and some production blunders haven’t done much to alleviate the rumours.

The fact that Frankie and Samira shared a night in the Hideaway that wasn’t shown, plus everything from multiple versions of Georgia and new Jack’s kiss being revealed to Dani’s namedropping being cut, have contributed to the idea that producers have been heavy-handed in the editing suite this series.

Now 2017’s champion Amber Davies has said that there’s actually far more going on in the villa than we realise.

She wrote in The Sun that there’s “100 per cent” sex scenes being cut from the show.

Responding to the idea that that this year’s Islanders aren’t getting as busy in previous years, she wrote:

“There hasn’t been much [sex] has there? There’s nothing!

“I 100 per cent think the other couples have been intimate in there – but you’re always thinking ‘my parents are watching!’

“I like how organic Megan and Wes have been about it.

“Have other couples been doing stuff under the covers, away from the camera and not admitting to it? Yeah! 100 per cent!”

Amber did defend Love Island‘s producers though, saying that they simply can’t show everything that happens.

“If they put in Samira and Frankie’s night in the hideaway into the final show, then miss out an argument that’s happened, and the next day two people are arguing, viewers would be like: what are they arguing for?

“It’s about making sense to the audience.”
