Thousands of students will be left disappointed today as the Leopardstown student raceday has been cancelled.
Tweeting out confirmation of the cancellation, Leopardstown Racecourse said:
“Following an 8.30am inspection racing is CANCELLED Following greater overnight rainfall than anticipated & with further rain this morning parts of the track have been left unfit for racing with no improvement expected.”

Over 25,000 students flocked to Leopardstown for the races in 2017 and many were prepared and ready to attend the races this morning until the cancellation news broke one hour ago.
Leopardstown Racecourse said that more information will follow with the confirmed rescheduled date and they apologise for any inconvenience caused.
