Jeans are a tricky one.
Lots of us build our entire wardrobes around them but as anyone who wears their jeans day in, day out (black skinnies out on Saturday night, followed by baggy mom jeans for a casual Sunday, followed again by another pair on Monday to work) will know, they can start to feel very meh.
That’s why we’re really feeling the latest addition to River Island’s denim line – the Alexa.
They’re basically culottes in jean form (cropped, wide-leg and high-waisted; meaning they’re pretty flattering) and feel like a fresh way to incorporate denim into a look.
River Island is selling the Alexa in four washes, black, dark blue, mid blue and white, for €50.
Top of our wish list are the white ones – how dreamy are they for summer?
We’d pair them with a band t-shirt or chunky jumper to off-set the girliness of the white but you could really dress them up or down.
