Fans can breathe a sigh of relief.
Rumours have been flying but it appears that Danny Dyer is staying on EastEnders.
The actor, who plays pub landlord Mick Carter, fuelled speculation that he’d be leaving the show at the end of his current contract, which runs out in November.
While filming on location, Danny was overheard telling fans who had gathered to watch that the show took up most of his time and meant he didn’t have time to work on other projects.

“This takes up my life this does. I ain’t signed yet. I’m meant to sign in October but I might elbow it,” he said.
Now, representatives for Danny have come forward to assure fans that he isn’t going anywhere.
“The deal is agreed – he is staying at EastEnders,” the spokesperson told The Daily Mail.
Danny had taken a month-long break from the show earlier this year due to “personal issues” included reported problems with alcohol.
Mick continues to be one of the most popular characters on Albert Square so no doubt there will be a lot relief at the news that he’s staying.
