Former Grey’s Anatomy actor, TR Knight, has tied the knot with his long term boyfriend Patrick in an low key ceremony.
According to US Weekly, the couple said “I do” on Friday in front of a small group of family and friends.
His former co-star and close friend, Katherine Heigl, flew in for the quiet ceremony.
Knight, who played Dr. George O’Malley, decided to leave the show back in 2009 after his scenes were dramatically cut back on camera.
He was also the subject of a furore in the press which involved fellow cast member Isaiah Washington, who apparently uttered a homophobic slur at Knight.
Knight later came out to the press after the argument made the tabloids.
He is currently playing the role of Mercutio in William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet in New York City.
