Emily Helck was diagnosed with Stage One Breast Cancer last year, she decided to document her battle with the illness by taking pictures of herself each week. The result is extremely powerful and inspiring.
The 28-year-old from New Jersey began chemotherapy in September 2012, that is when the first images were captured, and the process was continued right up until her final treatment on September 29th.
The video aptly titled ‘one year/one minute’, shows the New Jersey woman going through every emotion that comes with an illness like breast cancer. Emily’s bravery is phenomenal, each photograph displays exactly how she felt at each moment, with the marks from her treatment and tubes from surgery visible.
