Singer and X-Factor winner Leona Lewis is going to make her movie debut in a the 80s themed musical “Holiday!”
The movie-musical features songs from top pop stars like Cyndi Lauper and Madonna.
Originally titled “Walking on Sunshine”, the new flick will be directed by Max Giwa and Dania Pasquini the team who are behind the popular “StreetDance” series.
There has been no confirmation on which role Lewis will exactly be playing but the singer will be starring alongside Annabel Scholey, Hannah Arterton, Giulio Berruti and Grey Wise.
Les Misérables’ music producer Anne Dudley is also said to be working on the project.
The musical tells the story of a classic holiday romance and a love triangle. The film is being shot in Italy and the UK and is set for release in summer 2014.
It’s been described by its makers as the “ultimate chick flick”.
