Private jets, fine art, and glamorous parties: why Riviera is the latest TV show we’re obsessed with

Her

Brought to you by Sky Atlantic.

It’s no wonder we can’t get enough of Riviera.

The brand new thriller from Sky Atlantic ticks every single box, drama, intrigue, and a stellar cast to boot. Created by Academy Award-winning writer Neil Jordan and starring the fabulous  Julia Stiles, we have a sneaking suspicion that Riviera will be the show to watch this summer. Get ready for a binge fest with all episodes exclusively on Sky Atlantic from Thursday 15th June.

Here are all the reasons we’re becoming just a little bit obsessed with the show.

The plot is fantastic
Riviera follows the descent of American art dealer Georgina Clios (Julia Stiles), whose idyllic life is shattered when her billionaire husband is killed in mysterious circumstances. Following his death, Georgina soon begins to realise how little she knew about the man she loved. As she discovers more and more about his shady past she must also learn to deal with her husband’s ex-wife Irina and his three troubled stepchildren.

Riviera – Series 01

It’s luxury all the way
The show is shot along the opulent playground of rich and famous so as you can imagine it’s glitz and glamour from the get-go. You’ll be swooning over the characters stunning yachts, luxurious homes and amazing cars. A girl can dream, right?

You’ll recognise a few familiar faces
Make that a lot of familiar faces. The cast of Riviera reads like a who’s who in Hollywood. While ’90s rom-com legend Julia Stiles takes up the main role other famous cast members include Lena Olin (Remember Me), Anthony LaPaglia  (Without a Trace) and Iwan Rheon (Game of Thrones).

The costumes are out of this world.
A show about the French Riviera is bound to have some amazing clothes but costume designer Emma Fryer has managed to take this to the next level.  Expect lots of 50’s inspired outfits, Breton stripes, straw hats and loads of designer sunnies. We have serious outfit envy already.

It’s really addictive
We guarantee that you’ll  be hooked from the very first hour-long episode as Georgina Clios moves further towards a life of crime. You might as well clear your schedule now because you’ll be spending a lot of your time watching Riviera this summer.

All episodes of Riviera will be available exclusively on Sky Atlantic from Thursday 15th June.
