18-year-old Kelcey Hallinan has been battling with Hodgkin Lymphoma since 2011 and through the amazing charity Make-A-Wish Foundation was due to meet her idols, One Direction.
The teen, who is currently staying at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, was preparing herself for this once in a lifetime opportunity when she received the heart breaking news, that she was too ill for visitors.
Her disappointment sparked a group of friends to initiate a social media campaign on Twitter using the hashtag #HarryTweetKelcey.
Well-wishers and friends posted messages of support for the young girl, to which Harry responded immediately.
Styles arranged a video call with the sick teen so that the pair could speak face-to-face. 
The One Direction star tweeted Kelcey a lovely message after, saying how it was nice to ‘meet’ her.
Kelcey’s sister Molly confirmed the contact on her own Twitter account, and also that the singer promises to dedicate his next tattoo, a cancer ribbon, to the brave young woman.
