PICTURE: Is That The Loch Ness Monster? Photographer Convinced He Has Captured The Creature

A freak wave? Or is Nessie finally coming up to say hello?

Is that what we think it is?

The Loch Ness Monster is one of those stories that we all want to believe is true but evidence to prove Nessie’s existence isn’t that sufficient. However amateur photographer David Elder thinks he may have caught the sea creature on camera.

Elder was at the pier head at Fort Augustus taking a picture of a swan when he noticed the strange movement in the water.

“Out of the corner of my right eye I caught site of a black area of water about 15 feet long, which developed into a kind of bow wave,” Elder explained.

The 50 year-old told the Daily Mirror that he is convinced a “solid black object” under the water created the strange wave.

“I’m convinced this was caused by a solid black object under the water. The water was very still at the time and there were no ripples coming off the wave and no other activity on the water.”
