Earlier this year, Fred Stobaugh lost his wife of 72 years. Stobaugh and his late wife, Lorraine were together for 75 years and so, the broken-hearted Fred decided to write her a song, only the second he had written in his life.
Fred entered a competition which had been advertised by a local studio for new songs. Although he didn’t win, the studio were so taken with the song that they decided to record it.
Then, they thought the story behind it was just as important… and sweet.
