TV3 are on the lookout for a new drama series and have asked production companies from the UK and Ireland to pitch ideas for the new show. Being the kind souls that we are, we thought we would give them a helping hand. Here are eleven of our suggestions…
1. Braywatch
Set off the coast of Wicklow, a team of lifeguards police the beach during the day and take to the dark streets of Bray to party the night away.
2. Pure Shameless.
Cork. 2010. An unemployed family on the dole fight for their survival while their alcoholic father drinks the town dry. Pure shameless.
3. The Only Way Is Ennis
If they feel the need to venture into the world of reality TV, there are no better people to be following on their nights out than Ennis folk heading to the Queens.

4. The Banshee Diaries
Ireland’s very own answer to the Vampire Diaires, a show which revolves around the lives of a group of Banshees.
5. The Walkinstown Dead
A group of zombies originating in the Walkinstown area spread across Dublin and into the rest of the country. The rest of the world looks on at the Walkinstown Dead.
6. Greystone’s Anatomy
A little doctor’s surgery in Greystones is the location for many a romance and dodgy soundtrack choice between a group of doctors and staff.
7. Sons of IRA
The series explores the lives of a number of men who were sons of various figures in the IRA. Some have joined up, others have left and are still dealing with their secrets. (This is actually a pretty good one so we’re trademarking this)
8. The East Wing
A sharp political drama set in Aras an Uachtarain which follows the lives of those who keep the President’s career together through whatever the world throws at them.

9. Game of Throw-Ins
GAA, a cutting and cruel sport. This show depicts the lives of the best of the GAA players and the obstacles before them. (Hat tip to the JOE.ie bros for this one)
10. Meath Men
The year is 1950. Just as the booming marketing economy is about to take off in Meath, a group of successful ad man set up their first company.
11. Arrested Housing Development
After the boom ended, Pat found everything he owned was tied up in a housing development he could no longer afford to develop. But will he tell his family or continue on a pretence and hope they never find out?
