Eleven Important Lessons We Learned From Buffy The Vampire Slayer

Basically, you can learn a lot from a vampire slayer...

Sue Murphy

Every week, on Thursday, at 8pm on Sky One, the country shut down while everyone tuned in for Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Ok, maybe it wasn’t that dramatic, but it sure was a popular topic of conversation on a Friday morning. We learned so much from Buffy, here are eleven of the most important lessons.

1. Everyone needs a mentor.

If his name is Giles, even better.

2. Never, ever walk down a dark alley.

Surely you have learned your lesson about this one!

3. Never fall in love with a vampire.

Just, you know, hassle.

4. Always carry a stake.

You just never know what might happen.

5. Be quick-witted.

If you’re not witty and funny, you have no place here.

6. Kittens make for good gambling.

Just ask Spike!

7. Singing makes everything better.

Literally, everything.

8. Dead doesn’t mean you are ACTUALLY dead.

Ask Buffy!

9. Lesbian witches are handy sidekicks.

Except when they become a little evil.

10. You will never be as cool as the Scooby gang.

You can try, but you never will be.

11. You will never defeat evil.

So everyone has to get involved.
