A weather warning has been issued for nine counties.
The status yellow wind warning is in place for Dublin, Kilkenny, Laois, Wicklow, Carlow, Offaly, Mayo, Roscommon and Kildare.
This warning is in effect from now until 9 am tomorrow morning with winds expected to reach “mean speeds of 55 to 65km/h with gusts of 90 to 110km/h this evening and at times tonight”.
