“Bachelor” Star Dies At 29 Following Mystery Medical Emergency

Bachelor star Gia Allemand has passed away in hospital at 29 years of age after a serious medical emergency that has not been confirmed.

According to Entertainmentwise.com, the star was rushed to University Hospital in New Orleans on Monday and was reportedly on life support before she passed away.

A statement from a representative declared: ‘On behalf of the family, we kindly ask for privacy at this time,” wth a family member confirming that her mother and boyfriend Ryan Anderson, New Orleans Pelican basketball player, were at her bedside.

Allemand appeared on Season 14 of the Bachelor on ABC.

After her appearance in the show in 2010, Gia went on to join the cast of reality series Bachelor Pad. Allemand had worked as a model and actress before appearing on the shows.

Despite the wave of reports regarding Gia found on the web, none are able to confirm what actually happened to the young woman and what exactly the condition was.

UPDATE – TMZ is now reporting that the cause of Gia’s death was suicide. She was reportedly found in her house on Monday night by her boyfriend Ryan Anderson.
