He may want to use a different anecdote next time.
Craig Doyle has spoken about working for RTÉ and described it in a less than polite way.
He joined Jarlath Regan on his podcast, Jarlath Regan’s Irishman Abroad, where he spoke about his rise to fame on the national broadcaster.
Describing his first few years with RTÉ he said:
“It’s like, you grow up as a kid and there’s a girl who lives around the corner and she’s like your best buddy.
Then you get a bit older and testosterone starts flowing and you can’t really talk to her and all that malarkey.
And then, years later, you meet her again and you’re single and she’s single.
And you go, gosh she’s really nice, and I know her really well, it’s really comfortable this relationship with her, and I know her and she’s only down the road, it’s terribly convenient.”
This is where it gets a bit NSFW.
“And you get together but then the sex is really appalling. And her friends don’t like you and you don’t particularly like her friends.
RTE was that girl.”
YIKES!
