No replacement for Louis Walsh yet it seems.
Singer Charlotte Church was offered a role as an X Factor judge but turned it down saying that she’d rather not be involved at all with the “machine that kills music.”
Tweeting to her fans she wrote; “I got asked to do the X Factor job. I’d rather poke my eyes out with sticks.”
The opera singer turned popstar later added that she had met with the ITV bosses but felt that she couldn’t accept the offer as she wouldn’t have had any creative input.
“I had a meeting to ask about the level of involvement in the creative process I could have, and they basically said none… unless it was in line with what was required” said said speaking to Popjustice,
“I wanted to see just how hard line it was. I found my answer and politely declined.”
