Miami man, Derek Medina, apparently posted a graphic photograph of his wife’s dead body, along with what appeared to be a confession on Facebook.

Medina, 31, turned himself in to a South Miami police station this week claiming to have murdered his wife and that her body could be found at their residence.

He was taken into custody and when police arrived at his home, they found the blood-splattered body of Jennifer Alfonso.

A photo post on Medina’s Facebook profile showed a picture of a woman wearing a black outfit slumped over backwards next to a cabinet, with blood on her arm and face.

The comments underneath the photo by friends showed a reaction of shock and confusion.

Medina’s Facebook “confession” post read; “going to prison or death sentence for killing my wife love you guys miss you guys take care Facebook people you will see me in the news.”

He also claimed in the post that the victim had been punching him and that he was “not going to stand anymore with the abuse.”

He continued, “I did what I did I hope u understand me.”

Medina’s Facebook profile has since been removed, but more disturbingly a page has been set up, claiming to be him and rallying support for awareness of domestic abuse.

Charges against the accused were pending according to a police statement.

The couple had been married for about a year and according to reports, the suspect once wrote a book titled: How I Saved Someone’s Life and Marriage and Family Problems Thru Communication.

Alfonso’s 10-year-old daughter from a previous relationship was at the family home with her mother’s body. She was unharmed, according to police.
