The latest person linked with the presenting role on Blind Date is the last person we expected

We did not see this coming.

A new series of Blind Date has been on the cards for a while now. It’s due to be broadcast on Channel 5 but a presenter has still not been confirmed. Well, not officially anyway.

There have been a few people linked to the role, like Olly Murs, Helen Flanagan and Vicky Pattison, but the latest person is quite surprising.

Kylie Minogue is reportedly a hot contender with The Sun reporting that the show bosses are keen to sign her up.

An insider said:

“Bosses have been taken aback by the amount of buzz around the series so are rethinking their original ideas.

They know this is their chance to land an A-lister and Kylie has been discussed because she is so likeable.

Blind Date has such a huge legacy and Channel 5 has had so much success with Celebrity Big Brother and Lip Sync Battle, it gives them a calling card to attract the best.”

Don’t get us wrong, Kylie would be fantastic in the role it’s just not who we first thought of.
