There’s surely more to this than we’re seeing.
Angela Scanlon is currently presenting The One Show on The BBC while presenter Alex Jones is on maternity leave.
She is usually a hit with viewers but last night she left them very unimpressed after cutting guest Emma Willis short.
They had started a discussion about sweets when Ore asked Emma what her favourite sweet is. Shortly after she started to give her answer Angela interrupted her to cut to a pre-recorded video piece.
To be fair to Angela, she may have had a tight schedule to stick to. Often during live TV shows, a presenter will be told through an earpiece to move a segment along and so, for all we know, Angela could have been instructed to interrupt Emma for the video piece.
Either way, it didn’t stop viewers from complaining online:
