Rumours about an Inbetweeners film sequel have been rife for months but now it has been confirmed by one of the cast members.
Simon Bird, better known as Will “feisty one you are” McKenzie, has revealed that a second film is happening but that it will take a while.
Simon Bird confirmed that there would be a second film.
He told What’s On TV: “Yes we are doing another movie, but writing it takes a lot longer than people assume.
“When the last movie was such a success, people think you can just go ahead and do another just like it straight away. But the writers have to have time to work on the script and come up with ideas.”
The Inbetweeners Movie pulled in around £60 million in the box office two years ago so there’s no doubt that hopes will be very high for the sequel.
