Comic Con certainly delivered on news of new projects and guest appearances over the weekend, but the one everyone is literally losing the plot about is the announcement Zack Snyder made about the new Man of Steel.
According to Slash Film, Snyder wasn’t too keen on giving away too many details about the sequel, but he did give away this snippet. “I was thinking about how to do that. I pored through the DC Universe to look for a way to tell this thing. We’re writing the thing now, but I came across a thing I found that’ll help you understand it.”

Then, a line was read from Frank Miller’s epic, The Dark Knight Returns, “I want you to remember, Clark, in all the years to come, in all your most private moments, I want you to remember your hand at your throat. I want you to remember the one man who beat you,” a line which Batman declares to Superman.
Snyder was eager to make sure people knew this would not be a direct adaptation of Frank Miller’s story, merely a starting point for where the story will go.
While Henry Cavill is confirmed to return, along with Diane Lane, Amy Adams and Laurence Fishburne, in the subsequent press release from Warner Brothers, there was no mention of who they would cast for Batman, or even if this was a direct sequel of Man of Steel.
All we really know is that Batman will be on screen with Superman, but the details are a little hazy outside of that.
