A former glamour model has pleaded guilty to assaulting her paralysed motorcycle stuntman husband Eddie Kidd.
Forty-four-year-old Samantha Kidd initially pleaded not guilty but changed her appeal ahead of the trial next week, the Daily Mirror reports.
It’s reported that Samantha “stared at her hands and looked on the verge of tears” as she stood in the dock in East Sussex yesterday.
She admitted to four counts of assault by beating the paralysed Eddie Kidd between July and October last year.
During one assault, Kidd referred to her former husband, who can’t walk or talk due to brain damage, as a “spastic”.
Prosecutor Suzanne Soros told magistrates: “The circumstances surrounding the assault in count three are that she called the victim a ‘complete spastic’.
“She says that is because he referred to himself in that way. Although others may not be able to accept that because of his limited speech.
“It is accepted those words were said but she will say she was repeating the words he himself uses. That is not accepted by the crown.”

Kidd was paralysed in an accident in 2012.
She continued, “In relation to count four, a co-worker was present. Mr Kidd was trying to reach out for the support to lift himself into bed.
“He brushed her face as he reached for the support, she believed at the time that he had hit her. The assault is her slapping him in retaliation.”
Ms Soros added: “She will say there was no malice in her reaction. She accepts her actions were disproportionate. We do not accept her basis of plea.”
She told the court that it was a case of “domestic violence”.
Eddie Kidd was left paralysed and brain damaged in a motorbike accident 16 years ago. He needs 24-hour medical and healthcare. Himself and Samantha married in 2006 and split in 2012.
During his career, Kidd was one of the most famous stunt riders in the world.
