So to get our hands on the stylish new Logitech keyboard folio for a review was fantastic…
A quick email, Tweet or Facebook post has never been too difficult on the iPad touchscreen keyboard but to sit down and post an eloquently-written blog or review was never an option. The iPad is made for browsing, posting and watching – it could never take the trusty laptop’s place for typing, or could it?
The Look:
On first glance, the Logitech Keyboard Folio is stylish, modern and eye-catching.
Available in four colours, Carbon Black, Fantasy Pink, Electric Blue and Acid Yellow, it’s a folio thay’s built to stand out in the crowd. And that it does.
It was Fantasy Pink for us at the Her.ie office… they know us well.
The Fit:
The folio is portable and offers protection to the iPad as well as the keyboard function.
The iPad is slotted into the pliable stand; we learn not to be afraid to push it in, the frame is sturdy and it’s a tight-fit.

The Battery Bits:
Logitech uses Bluetooth wireless technology, which means there’s no nasty-looking cables involved. In fact, the folio claims that, once fully-charged, it will run up to three months on an average of two hours a day.
The iPad is turned on and off automatically on opening the folio and an on/off switch on the stand means it can save battery hours when inactive too. Perfect for those who worry about battery-wasting…

Using It:
The stand offers two viewing positions for the iPad. The first is at a 45 degree angle, perfect for typing, and the second is flat at 180 degrees if it’s sitting back on the couch or bed to browse you want.
Chilling on the couch? The folio folds at a 180 degree angle too.
The folio offers all the convenience of a traditional laptop computer and the near full-sized keyboard is a simple and comfortable experience for the user.

Although it also provides a protective cover for the iPad, transporting the folio was a completely different experience. The thick folio adds an extra few pounds to the iPad, which results in the device losing its “easy-to-bring-around-and-use” status.
Looks like we have a small price to pay to be stylish!
