Actress Tina Malone has spoken out about her heartbreak after finding out she had lost one of her unborn twins.
The 50-year-old television star, best known for her role in Shameless, announced that she was thought to be expecting twins last month.
Tina became pregnant after undergoing IVF treatment.
However during a recent ultrasound scan, it was discovered that one of the babies was healthy while the other had not survived.
Speaking about it in the Sunday Mirror, Tina said: “Looking closely, I realised that one of the babies was bigger and had a huge, wonderful heartbeat, while the other had no heartbeat at all. I was devastated, hysterical.”
The actress with her hubby Paul on This Morning.
She added: “But you’ve got to realise that things like that just happen, and I’ve got to be grateful. I’m happy, healthy and so thankful for the baby I have growing inside me.”
Tina, who underwent IVF treatment, and her 31-year-old hubby Paul revealed they were going to be parents in the middle of May.
