What would you do if you won the Lotto?!

It’s a question many of us will only ever answer while dreaming, but Ireland’s newest multimillionaires had to sit down and have a serious chat about their future this week.

Kevin Geoghegan made the decision at 46 years of age to say his goodbyes to his colleagues and work friends he’d met and made over the past 26 years, the Irish Sun reports.

He brought his new partner, and fellow multimillionaire, Carol Loran along too.

Geoghegan said he’s delighted he never has to do the late shift again.

“You would have to work from 12 to eight in the morning every third week or so, I never liked that,” he said.

“I didn’t like the evening shifts either as I like playing soccer and you’d miss out on that.”

“I wanted to say goodbye to them [his work colleagues],” he continued. “Especially my old shift fellas. I would be coming in to work today if this didn’t happen, but that’s the way it goes.

“I always had a feeling I would win the Lotto. The lads are delighted for me. I am an ordinary Joe, I have the craic and have the pint.

“It is emotional for me. The factory have always looked after me, I’ve been here over 20 years.

“I met loads of friends and I will never forget them.”

Carol and Kevin have only been dating a few weeks. Carol has four months training in Boylesports and said it is her goal to qualify as a cashier.

The couple’s €4 QuickPick tickets came up in last weekend’s draw.
