Nothing like a little retail therapy to make you feel like a new woman or that’s the excuse I’m using anyway.
A ridiculous amount of beauty products launch every week and no one has the time or the budget to trial everything.
With that in mind, I’ve picked out a few products that should be in your makeup arsenal asap.
Isadora Strobing Stick, €16.50
Any product with ‘on the go’ in the description speaks to me. Literally.
While I’m all over the gloriously dewy skin that’s achieved by ‘strobing’, I don’t have hours to spend perfecting the trend.
Thankfully, this strobing stick highlights, adds a luminous glow and even features a ‘soft-focus’ effect that minimises fine lines. HELLO.
I’m coining this one a handbag hero for the season ahead.

Essence Get Picture Ready! Brightening Concealer, €3.80
There’s nothing like a budget beauty buy to brighten up a week when you have very little cash but still need a hump day pick-me-up.
This Essence concealer is aimed at anyone who suffers from dark shadows under the eyes.
It’s high coverage so you don’t need to use too much and the light-reflecting pigments instantly draw attention away from those pesky circles.
The ball-shaped applicator is very easy to use so you can throw it on in a hurry when you’re rushing out the door or as a quick cover-up around the 4pm slump.

La Prairie Swiss Ice Crystal Transforming Cream, €157
Okay, so obviously this one will put a dent in your bank balance but it’s included on this list for a reason.
It’s ‘triple action’ and I do love a multi-purpose product because you know you’re getting value for money that way.
The cream covers skincare, colour and UV protection which basically means you can carry one product instead of three, ideal if you hate carrying a bulging makeup bag.
Without going into the marketing spiel, what you need to know is that this buy brightens your skin, evens skin tone, refines pores, blur imperfections and gives weightless coverage which can be built up if you prefer.

Lancôme Tient Idole Cushion Foundation, €39
That packaging though.
Sometimes you just want a pretty compact in your handbag and this new foundation formula ticks all the boxes.
Not only does it look fab and will appeal to anyone who’s obsessed with gold, the coverage is great and it’s long lasting too.
It’s ideal for touch-ups on the go (told you that phrase gets me every time) and once you run out, you can get it refilled.
You have to love a makeup launch that makes life a little bit easier.
Rimmel, Fresher Skin Foundation, €10.50
A must for anyone looking for a new foundation that lets your skin breathe.
I recently wore this to a day at the races as I needed a lightweight base with an SPF, that didn’t look heavy and would last the day.
I was pleasantly surprised and it really is a must for anyone who likes a natural finish to their foundation.
Even better, it comes in a jar so you can get every last drop out unlike tubes or finicky applicators.
