The Trueman family are not going to be happy.

Of all the shows on TV, EastEnders is surely the most dramatic and that may have *some* correlation with why I love it so much.

Walford holds many secrets, lies and unbelievable storylines and that’s how it keeps us captivated and interested in every new episode.

One storyline we’ll be sure to tune into is the leaving storyline of Hubbard/Trueman family matriarch Claudette.

Earlier this year saw her son Vincent and Vincent’s father-in-law Patrick bury her under the floorboards as punishment for killing Vincent’s father Henry.

Despite both Patrick and Vincent thinking that she was dead, she returned to the soap a little while later and after amending her previously wicked ways she seemed to integrate into family life easily enough.

According to Digital Spy, her stint in Albert Square is coming to a close which is guaranteed to break boyfriend Patrick’s heart.

A spokesperson for the soap confirmed the news that actress Ellen Thomas would be leaving the show.

“As our regular viewers will know, Claudette has often been seen coming and going from the Square to visit her family and friends.

“This is the end of another stint for Claudette and we wish Ellen all the best for the future.”

People took to Twitter to wish Ellen well on her departure from the character of Claudette.
