Demter Fragrance Libary, a fragrance company which has produced over 250 smells that are inspired by every day life, have released a scent reminiscent of firefighers and emergency responders.
The smell which is called First Response is a mix of spices and flowers but also smells associated with firefighters, white rubber and smoke, according to Boston Magazine.
However, not all the reaction to the scent has been positive. According to Digital Spy, there have been a few complaints about the product.

Hayley Gundlach of Norwood said: “To me, it’s a little offensive to try to put the tragedy in a bottle. The first responders weren’t just firefighters but also police officers and runners.”
Demeter Fragrance Library CEO Mark D Crames said: “We have an unusual approach to fragrances; we’re constantly looking for things that resonate. We originally wanted to create a perfume for the New York City fire department, but after the events in Boston we decided to tailor the perfume for the Boston firefighters.”
Even though some of the proceeds are indeed going to charity, perhaps many would not like to remember the incident in question in such a way.
