Here’s where The Proclaimers would end up if they walked those 500 miles

One of life’s unanswered questions!

The Proclaimer’s annoyingly catchy hit I’m Gona Be (500 miles) is one of those songs that you hear on the radio and then you can’t get it out of your head for days.

It was first released in 1988 but thanks to shows like How I Met Your Mother and Phoenix Nights  it was well and truly stood the test of time.

But have you ever wondered just how far walking 500 miles (and 500 more) would actually get Charlie and Craig? Maybe not. But now you don’t have to!

Twitter user Karl Sharro worked out exactly how where they would end up, to fall down at your door.

By this guys calculation the band would end up in Denmark after the first 500 miles. And they would fall just short of Lithuania after 500 more.

So now you know.

This is, however, assuming the boys can walk on water.

One Twitter user pointed out that if they were to stick to dry land (a more realistic path) they would actually only end up in Cornwall. And it would take about a week to walk the first 500 miles.

They must really love whoever they’re signing about because that it a long way to walk.

Here’s the original song, good luck getting it out of your head though!
