We have been #blessed with the heatwave of late but sadly it’s all over as this week looks set to be dominated by rain.
The weather for the next week is set to be dull and dreary with most parts of the country being exposed cloudy and rainy weather.
And, no time like the present, you can expect the rain to start falling from today.
Patches of sun will break through and temperatures today are set to range between 15-21 degrees, but with the humidity it may feel much warmer.
“Outbreaks of rain or drizzle, together with associated mist and fog, will clear to scattered showers by early afternoon,” according to Met Eireann.
The rain will continue with showers spreading eastwards to affect many areas.
Tuesday and Wednesday will be changeable with some mixed weather although it will be warm with highest temperatures up to 21 degrees.
Thursday and Friday will have sunny spells and scattered showers.
Best pull the umbrella out of the boot, you’re going to need it again.
