A lot of people are falling for this fake Obama tweet

Cassie Delaney

Look, I know what you’re going to say.

There has been SO MUCH going on on the internet over the past few days that it’s a full-time job to try catch up on it all. Obviously your primary concern is the Taylor Swift versus Kim Kardashian FEUD that has spiralled out of control.

But while we were all distracted by that Melina and Donald Trump have been up to, literally, no good and Melina basically plagiarised Michelle Obama’s speech from four years ago.

Journalist Jarret Hill first tweeted that her speech had a similar line to one featured in Michele Obama’s speech from the 2008 Democratic National Convention.

On further examination it became obvious that Melina had lifted a whole paragraph from the speech and I dunno, the whole thing just reeks of shame.

But while a lot of people are tweeting about the incident, one tweet is completely fake and fooling the interweb.

The tweet compares a screenshot from Trump and one from Obama from 2012 when it appears Trump has carbon copied the POTUS tweet.

Clever internet users however were quick to point out that the Obama tweet cannot be found in Obama’s official Tweet history and it was most likely created by someone purely for the lols.

It did get a chuckle.

If you haven’t caught up on the DRAMA of it all read about it below.
