Woman’s tweet to a bookstore’s Twitter account resulted in love and marriage

A modern day fairytale...

Rebecca Keane

Ladies, it’s time to get your Twitter out.

Nothing beats a good love story.

We’ve had Posh and Becks, Romeo and Juliet, Kim and Kanyeand more that I can’t even care to remember.

In 2016, the latest love story to emerge is that of newlyweds Victoria Carlin and Jonathan O’Brien.

Their love story began in 2012 when Victoria tweeted the bookshop Waterstone’s Twitter account, confessing her enjoyment of the user’s unusual tweets.

It was actually a first tweet about Pokemon that caught Victoria’s eye, proving that the Japanese anime game is something of an aphrodisiac in people.

In a flirty exchange, the anonymous Twitter account and Victoria exchanged messages and following their tweets, met up in real life.

According to Mashable, the pair went on their first date walking and later on to a cocktail bar, with Jonathan confessing: “It was easily the best first date I’ve ever been on (and hopefully the last first date I’ll ever go on). I brought a book of The Wizard of Oz as a present because Victoria had mentioned to me how much she loves the film.”

Four years later, the nerdy pair got married (in the presence of a Pokemon, no less) and the end results are just adorable.

I can’t imagine the Eason’s Twitter account being so hospitable…
