Fair play to them.
The first dance for couples at their wedding can sometimes be a bit awkward, especially if one of them isn’t the best dancer or feels under pressure with everyone watching them.
Then there are others who enjoy the spotlight and even creat flash mobs with their bridal party or perfectly choreographed dance routines. The amount of effort that goes into the dance is amazing and really pays off when you get it just right on the day.
A couple from West Belfast, Mary and Conor Fegan, celebrated their wedding on Saturday and wowed their guests by re-creating Ed Sheeran’s dance from his single Thinking Out Loud.
Interestingly, Thinking Out Loud topped the list of most used wedding songs, but I’ll bet very few couples will have gone to this much trouble to dance along to the song.
Mary spoke with Belfast Live about the dance saying, “We talked about it and then just with so much happening in the run up to the wedding we brushed it under the carpet.
“At the start of June, Conor said to me he would have loved to have done something. So I knew dance teacher Christina Conlon and messaged her to see if she fancied teaching us this.
“She was up for it and that was the start of it.”
