Well, this is awkward.
Ever since Kendall Jenner got the most likes on Instagram for posting an image of her hair in heart shapes, all eyes have been on what one could outperform it. She received 3.4 million likes and sat on the top spot for a year.
That was until May of this year when Justin Bieber claimed the top spot with a throwback image of him and ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez kissing. He narrowly beat her amassing 3.6million for the photo.

And now just two months later someone else has joined the top Instagram list and we’re thinking it’s probably the last person Justin wanted to beat him.
His ex Selena Gomez has received a whopping 4.1 million likes on her latest post which features the brunette sipping on a bottle of Coke. On the bottle she’s holding, there are some of her lyrics, “You’re the sparkle”, which she also makes reference to in her caption by simply saying, “when your lyrics are on the bottle ?”.
It’s such a simple photo yet it’s managed to trump ex Justin’s.

We’ve all been through it with ex’s when someone tries to get one up on the other and this has to be the best. While they seem to have a very amicable relationship this has still got to hurt a bit for Justin.
It’s just a waiting game now to see who comes along to claim the top spot from Selena.
