A 260ft water slide is about to make an appearance in Ireland

Do you think you could handle it?

Dublin, can you handle this?

Here at Her.ie, we’re serious slide enthusiasts.

Not ones to shy away from adventure or a bit of a challenge, we love throwing ourselves in at the deep end and getting involved, especially when it comes to slipping and sliding.

It’s welcome news to us and many other thrill seekers across Ireland that a whopper inflatable water  slide is making its way to the country’s capital.

The slide, which measures in at over 75m is arriving in Dublin’s city centre all thanks to 98fm, HB Ice Cream and Dublin City Council.

The Big Slide Home

98fm’s Big Slide Home with HB water slide will make an appearance on Winetavern Street near Christchurch Cathedral on Saturday 23rd July, giving the more adventurous minded of people a chance to travel through Christchurch (from the arch of the Cathedral to the base of the hill) in a way that we could’ve only dreamed of.

The slide will be open from 12-6pm, with HB handing out free ice creams to cool down sliders and spectators alike.

To take home a souvenir of the event, there will be a “Snap a Soakie” station where people can post their photos to Instagram (@HB_Ireland) and print out a copy to take home.

To get a wristband for the event of the Summer, you can head over to HB’s Facebook for a chance to win two free slides.
