Zach Braff has begun work on his directorial follow-up to the wonderful and amazing Garden State, but he needs your help. The new film Wish I Was Here already had a financing deal but Braff admitted he would have had to make a lot of changes which would have ultimately hurt the project.
Considering how well Veronica Mars performed from their Kickstarter campaign, Braff decided that instead of signing the finance deal, he would go his own way and find a way to fund the project.
Wish I Was Here tells the story of Aidan Bloom, a struggling actor, father and husband who is trying to find his identity. When his ailing father can no longer pay for his children’s private schooling, Aidan attempts to home-school the pair, with some chaotic results.
The soundtrack for Garden State was hugely popular and Braff hopes to accomplish the same with the new soundtrack for the film.
