Sad news this morning.
Jamie Woods Foster, a teenager from Meath, tragically passed away after attending a house party on Sunday night.
The Sun reports that Jamie had attended a party in Navan, Co Meath and afterwards, he stayed at a relative’s house.
The next morning, he was discovered unconscious at approximately 8am. Jamie was rushed to hospital but passed away a short time later.
The seventeen-year-old had been due to start his Leaving Cert at Beaufort College alongside his fellow students today.
Gardaí are investigating but the teenager’s death is not being treated as suspicious.
A Garda spokesperson said:
“Gardai are investigating the death of a 17-year-old who was found at a house on Slane Road in Navan on Monday morning.
“A file is now being prepared under the Coroner’s Act.
A statement from Beaufort College in Navan was also issued:
“Jamie will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Our thoughts and sympathies are with his family and friends at this difficult time.” The school also pledged to support students “through this time of loss and their examinations”.
