Ch-ch-changes.
Instagram is much loved amongst us all. It’s the place we go to peruse the objects, houses and bodies we cannot afford.
It’s a beautiful visual app and it’s been pretty much perfect since it’s inception in 2010.
But today they’ve gone and changed all that and unveiled a whole new look for the app.
The logo as we know it is completely different.
The redesign has been developed with the intention of placing a focus on video. Their blog states:
The simpler design puts more focus on your photos and videos without changing how you navigate the app.
The Instagram community has evolved over the past five years from a place to share filtered photos to so much more — a global community of interests sharing more than 80 million photos and videos every day. Our updated look reflects how vibrant and diverse your storytelling has become.
A launch video accompanying the new look says the redesign was inspired by us, the users. It highlights the diversity of posts and reminds us just why we fell in love with it in the first place.
