Jeff Buckley, the hugely talented musician who died far too young, is the subject of the new biopic directed by Daniel Algrant, who previously worked on the Sex and the City series.
The film examines Buckley’s relationship with his estranged father who also tragically died young. Penn Badgely of Gossip Girl fame, plays the role of Jeff in the run up to a 1991 concert which commemorated his father.
Although Badgley does look freakishly like the singer, we weren’t exactly expecting this interpretation of his life. Although Tim Buckley was an amazing musician, Jeff eclipsed that talent with his own. Frankly, we were hoping for Robert Pattinson.
