Well, they did tie up everything pretty well for most of these shows, but we would really like some sort of reunion. Do Ross and Rachel have kids? Did Mulder and Scully get together? Here are eleven shows they should bring back to our screens.
1. Ally McBeal
Sure, it wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea, in fact it was a little bit more left of centre than most people would have liked but we would sincerely like to see this back on our screens. Only if Robert Downey Jr. reprises his role as Larry, of course. Sing to us,Larry!
2. Dawson’s Creek
We previously listed all the reasons we missed Dawson’s Creek but how great would a comeback be? Have Dawson and Joey had an affair? Is Dawson now a famous director? The possibilities are endless.
3. Friends
We really miss that theme tune and even though Friends is constantly on a television set somewhere, it would be nice to see some new episodes. However, we will have to insist they do this right so plenty of Ross jokes and bring back Joey from whatever TV vortex he is currently in.
4. 30 Rock
Yes, yes, we know it’s just gone but we miss it already! Who else can deliver these lines like Alec Baldwin? There could be another series in them yet.
5. E.R.
We will have to insist that if E.R. does make a comeback, they go back to the original cast. You know what that means? Exactly. George Clooney.
6. The Sopranos
What the hell was that ending about? We need answers! Bring back Tony Soprano!
7. Cheers
We would just like to hear that brilliant theme tune blaring through our TV speakers again, but besides that, we just want to be back in the company of Cliff and Norm.
8. Flight of the Conchords
Before Brett went on to better things, Flight of the Conchords was one of the greatest indie secrets. We need some more band meetings…
9. Buffy/Angel
Joss Whedon has denied time and time again that there will ever be a Buffy reunion but that doesn’t stop everyone asking for it. We’re pretty sure that everyone involved didn’t become vampire slayers and just return to a normal life. That would be no fun at all.
10. The OC
Following the death of Marissa, The O.C. began a decline that didn’t really stop but if there was some way to bring back the witty writing of the first series, we think this one would be worth a shot…
11. The X-Files
If we had just one request for one show to definitely come back, we would have to say The X-Files. Not only were we glued to our screens every week to watch what happened with Mulder and Scully, but we were petrified of some of the more insane story lines; weird creatures that lived in trees, a mutated being who attacked from the toilet… We didn’t sleep for weeks!
